Sat around a meal,
Frustrations boil over.
She put her arm around you.
She is the child.
In the evening, together,
Each with our place and our tasks,
Frank and open, seated,
You blowing hot and cold,
You losing controle of the secret.
She brings compassion.
Time and again,
News is shared, faults listed,
Blame is scattered, guilt sown.
Shame wrestles in silence:
Dumb, it grows.
In part, we have become what's gone.
The suffering's not new.
Frustrations regenerate,
A cycle of like finding like
Recasts the past.
Reborn, burdens pass on.
I'm sorry.
